Very important firmware update for IsatPhone Pro users!
This firmware update will dramatically affect IsatPhone Pro users. IsatPhone Pros that do not have the updated firmware will not be able to register on the network to make or receive calls.
Some IsatPhone Pro satellite phones may already have the correct firmware installed. IsatPhone Pro handsets made after 7 September 2012 must upgrade to firmware v 5.3.0.
You can check if you have the latest version on your IsatPhone Pro, by going to Menu > Settings > About > Firmware version.
Please note that the Inmarsat firmware update tool is for Windows systems only. Please
contact us for information regarding upgrading on Mac or Linux machines.
Firmware should be updated before scheduled network enhancements go into effect. These are:
January 13th, 2014 - I-4 Alphasat (EMEA)
January 27th, 2014 - I-4 F3 (Asia-Pacific)
February 10th, 2014 - I-4 F1 (Americas)
There are no expected service outages because of these network changes.
